Style of Eye

Photobucket
Sunday at Fabric heralded hectic dancing to Trailer Trash room spinning mostly Dekker remixes and Tiga's new shit.
Style of Eye did his Girls into his VV Brown- Leave Remix which meant the WORST POSSIBLE TIME for someone to talk to me-
EXCUSE me, Belgian man trying to put his penis on me from behind on the dancefloor, you are NOT from 'MTV' and I am TRYING to dance to some motherfucking tech house.
Needless to say, he got punched in the face by flailing asian girl.
Too bad Ona wasn't playing.

Here's a mix by the Swede himself:
We Are Blah Blah Blah's EP12 mixed by Style of Eye

ARMAGEDDON EDIT

For a song called Leisure.
How quaint:
Dimitry Fyodorov - Leisure (Armageddon Edit)
Photobucket
And I don't care what anyone says about the Bloody Beetroots Remix of Adam Sky ft. Zoo Brazil's Circle Jerks.
Dumbed down version it may be, and Dim Mak twats indeed.. but I LIKE IT.
Beetroots' cliche sound of them rubbing each other's testicles all over the track and all.

In recent podcast #9 Tiga claimed Circle Jerk was "a horrible name, we didn't have anything to do with that"..
Alternatives: - Crap Circles?
- Circles Are a Bit Shit?
- Triangles are Trendy Right Now Because of Kate Moross Etc But Zelda Was Doing That Shit TIME Ago?

I'm disappointed those Shoes aren't Louboutin.

Sweet Jesus.
Video for Shoes.
It's like wandering into the Gareth Pugh A/W '06 show if it was the '80s and psylocobin was more readily available.

EXPECT: Tiga's fucking weird shit and I think that's Josh Hartnett on the drums.

Orca Mallorca

Photobucket
Spontaneous purchase of a child's paddling pool and £1.97 BBQ requires summer tunes:
#1:
Orca (Ian Pooley's Orca Mallorca Remix) by plinky plonky Tonka.
(Not much like the original. Nice one Mr Pooley.)

I have phases where I suddenly do a bit of a full-on handjive to his techy stuff like Freeze and Website but, funny how Tonka used to be so gay.

Ksubi x Tiga Sunglasses At Night

Photobucket
Ok, Tiga AND Ksubi designed something?
What more could you want?
www.turborecordings.com/tiga_sunglasses
So-so shape, but this is some lovely acetate tortoiseshell.
Yeah, the other 3 colours are ok.
Available in March 2009 worldwide, including INGLAND.
Plus this:
Everyone's seen the video of Proxy's remix of Tiga's What You Need:http://www.mediafire.com/?yojo1wgy4yz

But You Can't Ignore My Techno

Photobucket
Wow do I actually like Chloe 'I'm so COOL' Sevigny's second collection for Opening Ceremony A/W '09?
Tbh, if MOTHERCARE made high-waisted black leather A-line shorts (which they might) I'd probably still like them.

Ok so I have spent all morning in dangerous places loling at Tiga's Podcast 9A.
It features his witty banter along with tracks like his aforementioned remix of Fever Ray (Karin of The Knife as if you didn't already know) as played live at approximately 4.32am at Manchester Bugged Out, Zyntherius (aka beloved Jori) ft. The Dove's Synthesizer, and the Unit 4 remix of Zak Frost and Lasersonic - Aquaplane, which is preetty smooth.

Ooh and a Shoes remix by 'STEVE'. From Bromley. He's 16 and will make you feel bad.

Something noisy - Volatile's remix of Absolute Zero and Subphonics' The Code:
http://www.mediafire.com/?z1ljnnnhmlc
You may remember Volatile from mixes such as Proxy's In New DJ's We Trust on Kissy Fuck Tard's show on Radio 1.
Being friends with PROXY and HOSTAGE and having songs called FACES OF WAR. He's well hard.

Duke Dumont

Photobucket

So Chew The Fat mailed me about some '20 min' Duke Dumont mix: www.thefatclub.com/duke-dumont-mix/

Apparently he's 'the master of different tempos'.
Yes, well everything would be a lot easier if every track was at 127 and had chav vocals yelling about how he got two years in Borstal.

+ Summer is here? Check out these floaty gems:
Samabanova (Sam La More Remix) - PNAU and
Caught Up (Ian Pooley Mix) - Metro Area over at Le Touch:

2. What is Oizo doing to poor innocent Surkin and Hulk Hogan?

A Clouded Vision

Photobucket

Poor Steve Cook.

The other half of Clouded Vision, forever in the shadow of Matt Walsh.
Type his name into Google and you get someone blogging about computer software & a real estate investor. His myspace (www.myspace.com/toodamlate) username has to have '/Clouded Vision' whilst Matt is off buying new Shoes with Tiga.
Steve's own stuff isn't too bad, with equally disco acid noises and sober basslines although his tracks as alias 'Scientific' (as the name suggests), is a bit futuristic and too avant-ambient for my liking.

Here's his March 'tech-house' mix:

Minimal

Photobucket

Heard some cute minimal in Phonica by Camea but have completely forgotten the title. Am I losing my superb memory sachet reserved solely for artist/song titles that exists aside my bizarre skill of recognition of a track (Excuse me ma'am I THINK that's Brodinski) coming in from 246.fucking5 miles away?

I hope I am the first person in the history of time to use the adjective 'cute' for 'minimal' because that's pretty fucking stupid and I'd have to stab them in the ear.

P.s LOVE DMX Krew - December Darkness.

Turbo touched me

Photobucket

The lights come on in the club, hangover impending.

You walk out, unfocused, into the chill 6am air with your shoes and your hair equally dishevelled, American Apparel miniskirt practically lost and discover the morning birdsong, bruises, a low hung moon and stabbing heart pains, you know you've had a good night.

Withdrawal symptoms hit quick after a 5+ hour journey and I get back to a playlist of pure unadulterated Turbo Omnidance Tour worship.

There are 2 days of repercussion from non-stop delirious dancing-off-my-tits for 7 or so hours during Rainer Werner Bassfinder's Minimal Scarf Fuckers Drown, Motherfucking Bass (Popof Remix 1), Elektric Circus, Worth It, and even the random Jack Beats et al.. though frowned distastefully at Crookers Remix of Raven (like wtf?) and Mind Bloody Dimension for the gillionth time.

Surprised a few things weren't played unfortunately (*cough* Faces'uch/Style of Eye-Leave/Kolombo-Sniff/promised new Proxy), but adored Tiga's epic '1-2-3-4 Remix' of Fever Ray's Triangle Walks towards the end. Ahh..
P.s check out Guy J - Shaman (Cari Lekebusch Remix) on http://www.turborecordings.com/

Noob > Proxy?

Photobucket

NOT RLY.

Manchwerp tour cancelled says Buggedout.net/FB/Thomas von Party's Twitter:
"Due to illness we are sorry to say that The Proxy will not be playing in Manchester tonight.
We are pleased to announce that Turbo artist Noob has now been added to the bill alongside Popof, Aeroplane, Thomas Von Party and Dekker."

What will I tell the children now?

Follow Another Golden Fox

Photobucket

I know there's been a million Golden Filter - Solid Gold remixes but I can't think of one that's actually bad.. Clouded Vision's disco take is A-okay, but Russ Chimes' signature synthy one is like the entire Valerie Collective jizzed on your sheets whilst you were asleep.
Here's a heavier take on it via Mondkopf:

Apologies for 128.

Stephen Jones Launch Party at the V&A and Dubstep

Photobucket
As plus one of Bea, daughter of Erickson Beamon's creative director, we arrived by cab with a fashion photographer/former editor, design consultant/stylist Julian with Tank Mag feather mask, & Mia of EB posse/former 333 girl, whereupon landing on the steps I'm told "Dude, Roisin Murphy is behind us".. thus beginning the onslaught of head-adorned guests, spying Giles Deacon, Judy Blame, Katie Grand, Daphne Guinness, Jefferson Hack, Erin O'Connor, and Jacquetta Wheeler etc..

Spotted The P.I.X's Princess Julia spinning usual Blondiesque new wave pop tracks to the bombardment of champagne, parma ham wrapped truffle and lobster canapes, fresh oysters and patisserie corners filled with doughnuts, green tea chocolates, pistachio macaroons and florentines.

Then entering the mental exhibition filled from brillo pads to hoods and bonnets, Anna Piaggi posed perfectly with Manolo Blahnik, where I met that foreign girl who's always gorgeous in the Boombox pics leaving Bea to do her rounds conversing in pain (looking classy in her baby bonnet custom made by Stephen Jones) with Agent Provocateur's Joe Corres.
Photobucket Photobucket
Later was introduced to Bruno Frisoni and Hervé van der Straten (wearing ACTUAL Poilane loaf) before bumping into Hannah Marshall and Dr Noki amongst more London based designers adorning outfits circa A-Trak at Disneyland.

Telegraph woz there

..Back in Norwich (missing lectures again), Caspa & Rusko play teeny club here tomorrow.
There's something about dubstep that irritates me and I want to say it's due to being sort of lowbrow.. but then again FIDGET was hardly the height of sophistication.

Postman Pat

Photobucket

At last something for Stephen Jones' launch party at the V&A next week.
Vintage turquoise VM taffeta + overweight Postman Pat hairband is the best one can do, when one doesn't 'do' hats, at the milliner of all milliner's exhibition.

Soundtrack to the journey:
Zombie Disco Squad - Eurovision off Teki's new sublabel.. Mmm, Sound Pellegrino.

and probably some erotic shit off Tiga's Ciao.
