LE VELOUR

Mr Shonky does it again with his gorgeous new EP Le Velour on Real Tone.

Considering the Urban Dictionary definition of 'shonky' is "a compound word from the two terms 'shocking' and 'wonky' meaning that something is so bad or precarious that it is actually shocking" - This is pretty amazing.

Getting an e-mail from Phil Collins' ex-bandmate asking for a 'rockumentary' has made me want to dry retch a bit this morning. The beautiful beat-less track by Donnacha Costello however, has not. Give it a shot.

Rocha - Feel the Love (Greg Wilson Version) on International Feel is a keeper. Soft pianos, soothing synths and old school house beats.

 Anton Zap - Fascinated on Story.

Its status as 'anonymous' / 'untitled' of course made it all the more intriguing. Haunting deep house with a gloriously unexpected intro.
